Late night mews, Summer-wild and wonderful Big Cats... what a wild and wacky sort of day for this Big Cat, as far as everything happening, and just trying to get stuff done... crazy days for sure... the Kougaress never made it down to her mailbox either today... the nice drenching rains came in the afternoon when she usually makes the trek.
So, darling kittens, get cozy and hunker bunker down as the world crazily spins around you. And remember, this Big Cat loves ya!

Wow, what a day for the Kougar! She did get more polishing done on her manuscript. Wahoooo!
And when she was looking to purchase one of her books, KANDY APPLE AND HER HELLHOUNDS, for a raffle basket to be auctioned at a romance club event, she ran into a one-star review at Barnes and Noble... which was kind of a chuckle in a skewed way, given the reader complained about the heroes, Zin and Zol, as being nauseatingly sweet... okay, to each her own when it comes to heroes, no problem... but what struck this Big Cat author as being rather amusing... in the story her heroine, Kandy Apple, talks about how some women just can't emotionally deal with a man who treats them well, or really good... even some men will tell you this... that there are women who the meaner they are treated, the more they want that man... to be honest, the Kougar can't stand that type of 'meaness'... and her heroes reflect that, and are what's called by some as non-jerk heroes... to further expound... yes, this Big Cat can somewhat understand the lure of taming the bad boy... and given the screwed up way women and men are brought up in this culture, most of us have been psychologically damaged, and end up falling prey to bad behavior when it comes to relationships... still, all in all the Kougar would much rather have a 'real man' who knows how to treat a woman, and cherish her, than some jerk-off who just needs the right woman... and that's what her heroines want to... along with scorching erotic romance, where lots of taming can take place too, and then there's the battle of the sexes, when passion flares out of control.
