The slamming of a door shook Marissa...

Late night mews, most precious and summer-prowling Felines... still sunny and mild on the tame prairie with low humidity... yay! ... today when the Kougaress trekked down to her mailbox and was near the end of the drive, she saw a deer bounding through the soybean field across the way... it was quite amazing, and something this Big Cat hasn't witnessed before... the crop is probably three foot high and the this antlered deer is not running but bounding across it... there's a woodland strip at the far end of the field, and that's where the buck went to... and wow, the two hedge apple trees on the fenceline are just loaded with fruit... plus, the skies were a beautiful amazing blue, a sight the Kougaress hasn't seen for awhile.

Keep a watch out, darling kittens, trouble is exploding all around us now. And remember, this Big Cat loves ya!

The slamming of a door shook Marissa from her self-meditation and she darted a hopeful look at it. Nope, it wasn’t her boys coming home early from their pack hunt, or as she liked to think of it, their let’s-let-wolf-pups-get-stopmed-into-goo-by-rampaging-hellephants—
“Hello, earth to Marissa!” Gloria said as she waved her hand in front of Marissa’s scowling face.
“Get your hand out of my face unless you want to try going through life without it,” Marissa snarled.
“Dude, really. Witchy need an intervention,” Glo shot back as she set a gallon sized cardboard coffee-to-go jug on the end table just to the left of where Marissa sat cross-legged on the floor. The heavenly smell of Kona Joe, her very favorite roast in the world, drifted over when Glo cracked open the plastic cap.

At first glance, you might think the strange dark figure caught this week roaming through a neighborhood in Jefferson Township, New Jersey, is the elusive Bigfoot creature himself. The only reason this Big Cat author hasn't re-released her sci fi erotic romance, is because she simply hasn't had the time to read through and do revisions where desired.  So sad... 'cause she really loves her story, and would like to have it out there for readers who might enjoy it also. But so it goes in this world.

The summer sky is set to illuminate with impressive power as two astronomical phenomena strike at the same time.
The Perseid meteor showers flash across skies annually in August when the Earth passes through debris trails of shattered comets. Set to peak Aug. 11-13, this year's event coincides with a Supermoon, a moon that shines 30 percent brighter than a normal full moon. The Supermoon will begin to reach fullness on Sunday, Aug. 10.

~artshole.co.uk/arts/artists/Matthew Savage/flying-car.jpg~ Like so many in her generation the Kougaress wanted the flying car she was promised as a youngster... yeah, way back in first grade, the daily reader, or whatever it was called said there would be flying cars by the time we'd reached our twenties... but nope, they lied... yep, flat out lied... it's not that the tech doesn't exist now, it does... and for a reasonable cost... but, hey, NO flying cars for you! Which begs the question: are there flying cars on a parallel Earth? Now there's a romance story that would be fun to write.

Late night mews, Summer-lovely Pussycats... after a night of storms, a mild summer's day on the tame prarie... around eight in the evening, at dusk, the Kougaress saw the 'about' three-quarters moon fairly high in the souther sky, and shining brightly... there's something odd about the cycles of the moon in these times... however, this Big Cat is no expert, just a consistent sky watcher... that said, someone else mentioned the moon had altered position recently... and she's been diligently watching the moon closely. So...???

Keep a close watch out, darling kittens, lots coming at us these days. And remember, this Big Cat loves ya!

On today’s blog I’m going to talk about my other blog. That’s Shapeshifter Seductions, where four other romance writers along with yours truly post almost-daily shapeshifter flash fiction. I’ve had it easy for the last couple of months because I’ve been writing a serial story, a single tale told in weekly installments. Well, mostly weekly. I skipped a few here and there—I had to do something special for St. Patrick’s Day, for example—and occasionally I’d post an extra chapter on Thursday, or one of my fellow writers would add to the storyline on their blog day. The story’s taken a few odd twists and turns here and there, mostly because I didn’t bother to plot it out before I started (the curse of the pantser strikes again!), plus my fellow writers would latch onto throwaway lines and build a blog around it, providing ideas for my next installment. Somehow we fashioned a coherent story line out of this. But then, we’re professionals. Don’t try this at home.

So, what about our monster mammoth villain? What does a Hellephant think about as he destroys and dines his way to Talbot's Peak?

Atcheson snaked his monstrous trunk around another hapless tree, snapped it off at the base, and thrust it inside his admittedly cavernous mouth -- where it didn't last long. His hunger knew no end.

Fueling the franken-mammoth he'd been genetically transformed into was nightmarish. Morloxian had gleefully treated him like a prized child, feeding him high-nutrient formulas that kept his hunger at bay. Now he was on his own, and constantly starving. 

Piss on it! The werewolf part of him howled for a side of beef. Hell, a whole herd of succulent, in their prime, beef on the hoof that he'd crash and tear through -- devouring until he'd finally had his fill. Once he finished trampling Talbot's Peak, and all of its shit-unholy shapeshifting creatures into the dust as if they never existed... searching out the nearest cattle herd was his first priority. Unless...

Ewan and Maureen helped each other out of the mammoth poo and wiped each other off as well as they could. This meant shedding what remained of their clothes. Ewan didn’t mind public nudity, especially in front of a woman. Especially since he could now happily stare at Maureen’s sweet little tits. They made his mouth water, in spite of the stains and the pungent aroma permeating the air. Yep, true love for sure.
