"Dad, what 'cha doin'?"

 Mooney looked up from the photo album he had found in a box at the bottom of the Christmas ornaments box. He'd stashed it there years ago to keep it safe. From what, he wasn't exactly sure, but he had done it as a very young pup. It had seemed like a safe place to keep his happy memories safe since he had been the only one interested in putting up Christmas decorations after Mom died.

"Come here, buddy," he said to Loki with a fond smile.

BTW, darlings, the Kougar caught a glimpse of a negative review on Amazon about HER MIDNIGHT STARDUST COWBOYS. Normally, she pays no attention because everyone has a right to their opinion, and truthfully the emotional stress is just too much to bear right now... given the rest of this Big Cat's life. Anyhoo, the Kougar glimpsed this review while checking out the link for the book. Apparently sex outdoors in the snow is icky, and also, there was too much SEX in the story... gosh, HMSC is labeled as an erotic romance. Apparently dialogue isn't a good thing, either, and neither are cutsy endearments. So, warning, if you don't like any of this either, this book is not for you.

Drey cradled his mug of tasty hot chocolate in one hand, while scrutinizing Korinne's expression. She'd been startled some, her gaze flickering. At least, she hadn't said a downright 'no' to his suggestion about a New Year's celebration at the Midnight Stardust Supperclub.

Watching her take another long sip from her mug, then rest her head on the back of the rocker, Drey imagined Korinne on his arm at the fancy doing's. The more he envisioned being with her, the more he surely liked the idea. The Great Above be praised, there was a certain wonderful pleasure in watching a woman strut her beauty.

"I don't know," she softly spoke, returning her gaze to him.

Monday night mews, New Year Happening Big Cats... no fun today for the Kougaress... she spent the first part of the day dealing with the frigid nightmare temps... dripping the water, sealing more of the cold out, etc. ... yeah, even though she did more winterizing to prepare... well, more had to be done since the house isn't all that heat-efficient... oh yeah, she's not looking forward to the energy bill, either... but, at least, so far *knock on wood* the electricity has stayed on ... anyway, the Kougaress has been watching the gorgeous crescent moon in the night sky for the past several nights... just one of those most splendid sights that uplifts the soul ... so, to top everything off this Big Cat had to trek the half mile down to her mailbox to pickup a package, so nothing would freeze inside... sheesh!

The Californian skies held more than fireworks on New Year's Eve, as multiple UFO sightings were reported across the state.

From Placer County across to the Hollywood Hills, eye-witnesses have come forward with accounts of glowing lights and mysterious objects darting across the night skies.

Kaye Pinlac, from Stockton, saw a formation of glowing objects behaving in a very strange manner:

""I seen like six bright orange colored lights," said Pinlac, who captured images of the multiple objects on his iPhone. "They were almost in a diamond or triangle shape. It was weird. Then they just started separating."

FAA spokesman Ian Gregor confirmed that none of the UFOs were observed by pilots in the area or picked up on radar by local air traffic controllers, and consequently, various prosaic explanations for the anomalous lights have been put forward, including floating luminaria light bags and celebration balloons, but these suggestions were dismissed by another witness,Terry Mauth, from Auburn:

The Snow Wolf Sculpture

Cozily cocooned in her bed, Samara glanced out her nearest window. The late morning sun beautifully sparkled the thick blanket of snow covering her large front yard. "Baby, it's cold outside," she murmured, the lyric playing in her head.

"Brrrr..." Samara shivered involuntarily, imagining the icy temps on her short-furred hide. Earlier, once the sun shone brightly over the horizon, she'd shifted and gone for a run in the Peak's park, just to keep in good shape.

Samara smirked, remembering how she'd out-raced a couple of wolf pup shifters – Thor and Loki, as they were known in town. They'd been determined to catch her.  At one point, she'd pretended to be treed, mentally laughing at their high-jumping antics.

3D Printers: Will We Soon be Able to Print Out Replacement Body Parts?

3D printers are now being utilised for a variety of different mediums; in fact, there seems to be no limit to their potential.

In Britain, they are being used to create the ultimate chocolate gift by a company called ChocEdge. The company, which grew out of a University of Exeter project in 2012, can create a unique sculpture of your face using layers of dark, milk or white chocolate, based on a photographic image.

"Everyone loves chocolate so that’s why we’ve tried to make it easy and accessible for mainstream consumers," said Dr Liang Hao from the University of Exeter, who founded Choc Edge.

The chocolate creations are made by depositing very thin two-dimensional layers of melted chocolate, around 0.05mm thick, onto a substrate to build up the three-dimensional shape. Traditional methods of chocolate sculpturing rely on expensive molding tools, a fact that limits the potential to create very complex designs, but the new method means that that practically any design is possible using the same technology.
