Dante’s
kitchen was a clown car. Literally. I had thought that when I saw all
the barflies coming out of it earlier, but now I knew for a fact that
all of them had actually come through the kitchen and not through some
hallway or stairway just inside the kitchen door. It was kind of like
seeing a six lane highway running through a factory district, with on
and off ramps here and there, and one lane in each directing reserved

favored. Holding the pale fiery blade in a salute, he intoned, "Ready
for battle. Activate."
The holo-program hummed for a split
second. A horde of rhino-humanoid troopers charged, their beady,
orange-neon eyes savage with the desire to hack and stab him into bits
of unrecognizable flesh. Dhavriz stepped into a sprint. With his blade
high, he slashed the weapon back and forth, fighting his way to the

2014 – AFRICA – New Scientist interviewed French photographer Olivier
Grunewald, who captures striking images of nature like the Dallol
volcano, located in the Danakil Depression of Ethiopia’s Afar region.
Grunewald’s work uses no filters or digital enhancement, and the results
are stunning. To capture the Ethiopian volcano, Grunewald waited until
after dusk, when the blue flames were more visible against the night
sky.

reports the remains of a ”strange humanoid creature,” speculated to be
an alien hybrid, estimated to be 3,000 years old, has been found in
northern Germany near the location where the 3,600 year old Nebra Sky
Disk was discovered in 2001.
Researchers describe it as “alien in

Vacation Time for Gill Begins

small islands off the coast got Gill’s attention even from the plane
window. Now that he could see them from the sands of the beach near his
hotel, he marveled at the rocky exteriors each pillar contained. No
two looked alike. Just like squirrels and other shape shifters. They
might look the same. They really weren’t. When he started loping
