Late night mews, Big Cat Beauties... finally some really nice rains soaked the tame prairie this afternoon... and cooler temps arrived... the other day, the Kougaress watched this large, gorgeous yellow and black-outlined butterfly feeding on the wild verbena in her wildlands yard... it was one of those beautiful nature scenes... lots of butterflies so far this year.
On the world stage the nasty stuff is about to hit the proverbial fan in some ways. So, take care and beware. 'Cause this Big Cat loves ya!

Aramilla drew back, but only for an instant. She’d expected to see Haroun, her chaperone, at the door. Instead it was Pietro. Her heart leapt, remembering their dance.
Just as quickly, it plummeted again. Krasski didn’t know. No one must know the vampire lord’s intended bride had lost her heart to another. A common soldier in the war between humans and the undead.
“Go away,” she ordered him in a shaky voice. “I … I am indisposed. I—why am I talking like this? Nobody talks like this.”

Gill reached for another tissue as his eyes watered. His nose started twitching again. He hastily held the two tissues over his nose and mouth. Two loud sneezes followed. He blew vigorously, tossing the use items in the trash can near his bed.
On the bedside table, three large bottles sat along with a huge sipper filled with more water than he cared to think about drinking. Blackie raised her head, blinked her golden eyes, and curled her tail around her. Gill sniffled, and slid lower in the bed. Allergies, sinus infection, and orders to stay away from Rattigan’s for a week didn’t bode well for his re-election campaign kick off. After his Elvis imitation went viral way beyond Talblot’s Peak, loosing didn’t appear to be an option.
