A DNA test has confirmed that a lone gray wolf is roaming Arizona, just north of the Grand Canyon, a long way from its home in the northern Rockies.
The animal, which is protected under the Endangered Species Act, is the first known gray wolf to visit Arizona in about 70 years.

Nighttime mews, most cherished and adored Big Cats... a shivery, chill to the bone day on the tame prairie... and sheesh, yowl about a having to multi-task day... oh, and the Kougaress got a little peep show of two squirrels... when the male made his move evidently the female wasn't interested, 'cause she tumbled them to the ground, about four feet... it was an amusing furry-ball sight... the girl scampered up the tree trunk then, but waited for him to follow... they seem to be a couple... anyway, there are a lot of squirrel nests high in the trees this year.

Take care in these times, darling kittens, and keep preparing your household as best as possible. And remember, this Big Cat loves ya!

Both Sides Now

“And that wraps up Thanksgiving,” Han Ewing said. He stacked the last of the clean dinner dishes into the kitchen cabinet and slammed the door with finality. “On to Christmas!”

“Oh yeah.” His brother Bo groaned. “Car accidents, drunks out partying, stampedes at the stores, fistfights over bargains. The most wonderful time of the year.”

“Good to see you’ve caught the Christmas spirit, bro.”
